Corruption Tracker – denuncie corrupção no mundo inteiro.
“Você acha corrupção, nós contamos ao mundo!” - esse é o slogan do recém saído do forno Corruption Tracker, um aplicativo feito para denunciar corrupção.
A ideia é simples: Algum caso novo de corrupção denunciado? Marque no mapa!
Eles perceberam que muitas vezes quando você se vê em frente a casos de irregularidades, suborno ou crimes desse tipo no governo não tem uma ferramenta ágil para fazer algo a respeito. Nós brasileiros estamos bastante familiarizados com a esse tipo de situação.
Infelizmente também, percebo que cada vez mais o brasileiro se acostuma à corrupção do seu governo, o que nos coloca cada vez mais no quadro do “o que fazer?”. Iniciativas existem, a “Marcha Contra a Corrupção” reuniu cerca de 25 mil pessoas via Facebook em Brasília. Movimentos assim, organizados por redes sociais, são comuns, mas geralmente não atingem tantas pessoas e não têm tanto impacto posterior. Outras alternativas são recorrer ao Ministério Público, aos abaixo-assinados, greves, e manifestações - meios reconhecidos como burocráticos e demorados.
A nova startup trabalha de três formas:
- Através de crowdsourcing.
- Através de especialistas regionais voluntários;
- E de inteligência artificial, que mapeará casos de corrupção utilizando tecnologias como o Transparency International e o IPaidaBribe – ainda em fase de desenvolvimento;
Ao realizar o cadastro, você seleciona sua região e pode ficar informado sobre a política local. Será possível fazer denúncias via SMS, smartphones ou diretamente pelo site, e a há ainda integração com diversas redes sociais.
A aplicação possui muito potencial para ser uma das maiores informadoras sobre política da internet. Como o Avaaz, ferramenta já existente que ajuda a coordenar pessoas pelo mundo para defender a democracia em ações globais e regionais.
Iniciativas assim, podem contribuir muito para desenvolvimento da sociedade, na medida que é uma fiscalização da política feita pela própria gente – e não por órgãos externos desvinculados do povo. Afinal, boa parte dos recursos financeiros, que poderiam ser aplicados para melhorar as indústrias, o comércio, o sistema de saúde, por exemplo, são desviados e gastos pelos governantes.

We think too much and feel too little: More than machinery we need humanity; More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy let’s use that power – let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age and security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. They do not fulfill their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness.

Práticas de E-gov: We the People.
Por enquanto, o governo dos Estados Unidos tem se mostrado muito habilidoso ao lidar com novas mídias. Lembrando sempre da campanha que levou Obama ao poder, e toda a presença digital muito bem trabalhada pela sua equipe.
Nesse cenário, uma série de iniciativas que usam o poder da internet, e o crowdsourcing, vem aparecendo por ai - todas com o nobre objetivo de aproximar a população do governo.
Semana passada, foi anunciado o We the People:
O projeto consiste num site de petições online, criadas pelas próprias pessoas, que podem utilizar funcionalidades do site para divulgar e conseguir as assinaturas. Por enquanto, nada muito inovador.
A grande diferença dessa vez é que as petições com maior número de votos serão analisadas por pessoas de dentro da Casa Branca, que por sua vez repassarão aos órgãos responsáveis pelo tipo de pedido feito no abaixo-assinado. O ciclo se encerra com um pronunciamento e posicionamento oficial do governo a respeito do assunto.
A proposta é interessante, principalmente porque acaba com a incerteza sobre a entrega da mensagem a alguém que possa realmente fazer algo a respeito. E não cai no mar de incerteza que os abaixo-assinados levantados na web entram.
Essa conexão direta com o governo pode ser a solução, e abrir novos caminhos para o engajamento dos cidadãos. Vale a pena ficar de olho e acompanhar os resultados.
